Job Description

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is experience which is directly related to the position to be filled and which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. WS-08 - Must have at least 36 months of specialized experience or training providing knowledge of the equipment (e.g., tanks, manifolds, valves, filter/separators, pumps, etc.) and procedures for constructing bladder tank farms sufficient to provide technical guidance to and inspect the work of others. Knowledge of fuels, fuel distribution, regulations, and procedures, and the operation of fuel distribution systems sufficient to perform a variety of functions associated with the operation of a system, including general maintenance. Ability to apply knowledge of more complex steps and processes to convert fuel measurements from volume received at tank temperature to the equivalent volume at the standard temperature set by the American Petroleum Institute. In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates and hours worked per week for each occurrence of both civilian and military employment (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only will result in disqualification. Your record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the following knowledge, skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position: -Knowledge required to perform all assignments, and to operate mobile and complex refueling equipment. -Knowledge and skill to operate and drive tractor trailer trucks, including operation of gear and brake systems. -Knowledge of fuel properties, testing procedures, appropriate equipment, inspection requirements, and storage facilities required for fuel distribution systems. -Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures. -Skill to manipulate controls and equipment and interpret readings to regulate flow of liquid. -Ability to drive a 12 ton tank truck that exceeds 32000 pounds when full to and from aircraft refueling locations, using public roads and highways. Refuels aircraft, ensuring proper static grounds, hose connections, and safety procedures. -Applies skill in maneuvering tank truck around parked aircraft. -Knows Federal, State, and installation safety regulations regarding aircraft refueling operations.
