Job Description
In order to qualify, you must meet the General experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, three years of progressively responsible general experience, one year of experience which is equivalent to Federal experience at the next lower grade (GS-04), level, pay band (NH-01), or equivalent (pay schedule, pay band, etc). Typically, we would find this experience in work within this field that is closely related. General Experience is described as experience demonstrating the ability to: 1) analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) plan and organize work; and 3) communicate effectively orally and in writing. BASIC REQUIREMENT OR INDIVIDUAL OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the General experience requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in as performing analysis of data, conducting reviews and maintaining accurate records. Developing goals and objectives that integrate organization and logistics related objectives. Identifying the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. OR EDUCATION: Successful completion of a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center concepts, procedures, guidance and policies. Knowledge of the relationship of various production entities involved in overall program planning. Ability to plan, organize and manage projects with limited management assistance and prioritize workload for efficiency and effectiveness. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex issues and maintain good working relationships. Skill in conducting meeting with employees, supervisors and management officials within OC-ALC to present and obtain information and guidance concerning a wide range of projects and programs. Ability to carry out and complete assignments involving work with diverse and dynamic groups by gaining their cooperation with tact, courtesy and diplomacy. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
