THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a ORDNANCE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC (Title 32), Position Description Number D2575000 and is part of the AR ANG 188 LGR SQ, National Guard. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQURED- If you are not currently a member of any military service (Branch/Status), please provide a letter stating intent to join.

Job Description

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which has provided the candidate with the knowledge and application of mechanical and electrical principles and the skill to perform intricate repair and adjustment of hydraulic and pneumatic components and devices. Must have a valid driver's license. Knowledge of ordnance systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience or training in repairing, rebuilding, modifying, and testing a variety of major subassemblies. Experience in diagnosing malfunctions and determining repair in major components consisting of numerous assemblies, interrelated electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assemblies, and components. Experience in the use of precision measurement equipment. Experience interpreting and applying a variety of technical manuals and similar published materials. Ability to identify ordnance by filler, color code, markings, or physical description. Comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of electronics principles, practices, and inter-related processes for the purpose of independently troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electronic, mechanical, or electromechanical faults, issues, etc. Skill in interpreting complex drawings, specifications schematics and performs intricate shop mathematics for complete systems to comprehensive skills in the use of precision measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, potentiometers, frequency signal generators, etc. as well as in troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating and maintaining missiles and missile test equipment.
