Job Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Possess and maintains certification in group exercise and/or specialty fitness certification or credential from a nationally recognized certifying organization. Specialty certifications or credentials may include, but are not limited to, Pilates, yoga, indoor/group cycling, strength training, kickboxing, suspension training, circuit training, dance fitness, aquatic exercise, or muscle recovery. 2. CPR and First Aid certification is required, or ability to acquire CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days of employment. 3. Experience developing, modifying, and implementing fitness classes in one or more training modalities is required. 4. Ability to teach indoor or outdoor classes. 5. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. One year of experience in fitness instruction in a group setting. 2. Training and education in work place wellness and/or lifestyle behaviors. 3. Holds 1 or more 'specialty' certifications such as NCCPT Indoor Cycling, Strength & Conditioning, TRX, Kettlebell, Yoga Alliance, Barre, Pilates Method Alliance.
