Job Description

Skills and Knowledge: Two years of experience that demonstrates knowledge in the applicable combination of trades sufficient to perform the duties of the position. Must have ability to use hand and power tools and knowledge of general maintenance practices. Must demonstrate oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with the supervisor, contracted labor and other maintenance personnel to accomplish the task. Possession of a valid state driver¿s license. Responsibility: Works under general supervision. The majority of the work is performed independently where the incumbent makes decisions based on personal knowledge of general maintenance practices. Responsible for the general cleanliness and upkeep of assigned Retail & Services facilities. Physical Effort: Lifts, carries, and sets up materials and equipment. Requires prolonged standing; stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. May be required to work in cramped, awkward, flat, vertical, overhead and in hard-to-reach positions Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance. Handles a variety of tools, materials, and equipment. Climbs ladders and may perform work from a boom lift. Working Conditions: Work is performed both inside and outside, and incumbent is exposed to dirt, paint vapors and fumes. Subject to inclement weather conditions while working outdoors. Must wear issued protective gear.
