Job Description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: ¿ Five years of progressively responsible experience in commercial sponsorship, advertising sales, business development, or related fields, demonstrating the ability to manage a sponsorship program and lead a team. ¿ Demonstrated ability to research, network, and cultivate business relationships with U.S. and host nation companies. ¿ Strong negotiation, communication, contract administration, and project management skills. ¿ Ability to interpret and apply DoD and USMC policies related to sponsorship, advertising, and commercial agreements. ¿ Experience coordinating across marketing divisions and operational departments. ¿ Excellent written and verbal communication skills. This is a white collar position where occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. may be required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: a. Demonstrated detailed experience resulting in successful sponsorship, promotion or advertising sales management for commercial media, special events, and military morale, welfare and recreation programs. b. Experience with government contracting regulations to include familiarity with the legal aspects of contract development management. c. Demonstrated project management skills incorporating the ability to make sound recommendations according to budget and programming needs while independently managing and planning for personnel with a variety of skills and the supervision of multiple, complex projects. d. Extensive experience with print, digital, online and out-of-home media. e. Working knowledge of principles of demographics, market planning, and accounting budget procedures. f. Extensive familiarity with host nation business practices to include local business contacts. g. Knowledgeable of and familiarity with the MCCS mission, programs and services as well as the U.S. military culture and market. h. Ability to expand stateside advertising and sponsorship sales. i. A valid Government Owned Vehicle (GOV) operator¿s permit is required for the performance of duties for this position. Inability to obtain or maintain appropriate GOV licensing may result in termination for lack of qualifications. The incumbent is required to obtain required GOV licenses within 30 days of hire. j. Japanese language skills both verbal and written desired.
