Job Description

A minimum of five years experience that demonstrates knowledge of management principles in planning, coordinating, and attaining the goals and financial objectives of a large customer oriented organization; a thorough knowledge of business practices, economic principles and ability to analyze trends/developments and make improvements in operating programs through innovative marketing, personnel management and retailing. Experience in working on a Marine Corps or similar organizational staff or in-depth knowledge of Marine Corps staff procedures and organization is highly desirable. Must possess above average oral and written communication skills and have ability to deal with individuals on different levels from bargaining unit/front line employees to Congressmen and/or high-ranking military officers, etc. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20lbs may be required. Security Clearance Requirement: This position is designated Non-Critical Sensitive. The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret eligibility upon final adjudication of the Tier 3. Incumbent will be required to maintain Secret eligibility while in this position. An SF86 review will be conducted every 5 years or as required by higher authority. Subject will be entered into the Continuous Evaluation program which will allow them to be monitored for derogatory information, i.e., financial, police related, alcohol, drugs, etc. See Security Executive Agent Directive 4 (SEAD 4), National Security Adjudicative Guidelines. FOR POSITIONS INVOLVING FIREARMS/AMMUNITION ONLY: This is a "covered position" for the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act for Department of the Navy civilian personnel. Due to contact with firearms, or ammunition in accomplishing work, DD Form 2760 certifying whether or not a "qualifying conviction" for a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence has occurred MUST be completed. The continuing obligation to notify the immediate supervisor of any qualifying conviction through completion of DD Form 2760 is REQUIRED. Must be able to obtain and maintain a "Favorably Adjudicated" T3 background investigation with Secret eligibility. T3R will be submitted every five years for re-investigation and favorable adjudication.
