Job Description

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, with a strong requirement to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and holidays when tours are scheduled, as well as night shifts and overseas travel. 2. Must be at least 18 years old AND have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; OR Have completed a formal vocational training program; OR Have received a statement from school authorities agreeing with preference for employment rather than continuing education. (Valid documentation will be required upon hire.) 3. Must be able to perform prolonged standing, walking, reaching, and lifting of objects weighing light to moderate independently. 4. Must be able to possess CPR certification. 5. A valid Government Owned Vehicle (GOV) operator¿s permit is required for the performance of duties for this position. Inability to obtain or maintain appropriate GOV licensing may result in termination for lack of qualifications. The incumbent is required to obtain required GOV licenses within 30 days of hire. 6. Preferably be able to communicate in Japanese both orally and in writing. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Knowledge of the techniques to plan and conduct a variety of tours. 2. Knowledge and experience of local points of interest and up-to-date attractions. 3. Knowledge and experience in public relations and the relationship of the military and local civilian community. 4. A strong background in public speaking. 5. Skills and knowledge in Microsoft Programs such as Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 6. Ability to remain neutral in avoiding conflicts and be skilled in exercising diplomacy. 7. Skills in leading a diversity of type of participants and ability to handle situations such as disorder or accidents. This activity is a Drug-free workplace.
