Job Description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS NF3 NAF HR experience preferred. Must have at least three years of experience working in a Human Resource Office OR must possess practical knowledge and skills in personnel procedures, rules, and regulations. An appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates knowledge and skill in the different facets of Human Resources or similar role. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks, and the flexibility to adapt with changing requirements. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. Must successfully obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation at the Tier III level. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS NF4: Minimum of 1 year experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NF-03. NAF HR experience required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in human resources management, communication, or a related field appropriate to the work of position is preferred AND three years of experience working with human resources issues, OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above working with complex Human Resources issues, OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill mentioned above or similar role. Must have skill applying Human Resources Management principals, concepts, laws and regulations. Must have skill to serve as an advisor/consultant to Marine Corps field installations on complex Human Resources policy issues. Ability to review policy and procedures to ensure consistency in their application; recommending modifications. Skill to provide authoritative advisory services and develop authoritative policy interpretations. Must have the ability to deal with high level Marine Corps officials and officials of other organizations in briefings, consultations, and/or other difficult situations. Oral and written communication skills sufficient to communicate with all levels of customer and managers in a professional and effective manner. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. Must successfully obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation at the Tier III level.
