Job Description

Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge and skill sufficient to read signs, follow simple oral and written instructions. Ability to move around well enough to work safely while moving lightweight objects. Ability to use common cleaning tools and light weight vacuum cleaners. Responsibility: Works with specific oral and written instructions. Worker is not called upon to judgment other than simple choices. Physical Effort: Exerts light physical effort in doing such tasks as using vacuum cleaners and dry mops; running lightweight powered scrubbers and buffers; continually standing, bending, stooping, and reaching; frequently lifting and emptying wastebaskets; frequently pushing carts and occasionally lifting and carrying. Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance. Working Conditions: Work is performed indoors, in areas which normally have adequate heat, light and ventilation. Work involves exposure to dirt and disagreeable odors. Normally, there is a chance only of minor injuries.
