Job Description

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of three years of experience that demonstrates progressively responsible operation management, including administrative, personnel supervision, task delegation and daily shop operations. A minimum of two years of experience operating and maintaining woodworking machinery such as table saws, band saws, planers and hand power tools. Must be able to accommodate work schedule during Camp Courtney Arts and Craft center facility hours. Able to work at various MCCS Arts and Crafts locations around Okinawa based on the staffing needs of each facility. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Leadership skills and ability in providing direction and maintaining effective working relationships with subordinate staff. Demonstrated ability in applying generally accepted business concepts and merchandising methods to conduct business and financial analysis. Experience and ability to plan and implement a variety of recreation programs and ability to use a wide range of machining techniques to set up, adapt, and use appropriate machines, tools, and accessories, e.g., woodworking. Ability to exercise tact, communicate orally and in writing efficiently with customers and higher-level officials. Personal vehicle (POV) license is required. Experience with a CNC machine, including setup, basic programming, and troubleshooting. This activity is a Drug-free workplace.
