Job Description

What are we looking for? Experience and knowledge of maintaining grounds for various areas, to include but not limited to; soil, shrubs, trees, playgrounds, and sporting fields. Knowledge of pertinent safety, occupational health and environmental regulations. Must possess one year of experience in a supervisory position. Ability to provide on-the-job training to insure employees are proficient in current job duties, responsibilities, and are aware of Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) policies and procedures. Must have knowledge of herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers and their application. Must have technical knowledge to supervise the application of fertilizers, chemicals, grasses, fungicides, and herbicides. Responsible for turf and landscaping management programs. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Must possess or be able to obtain applicable government operator permits. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
