Job Description
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of a Bachelor¿s degree in accounting, or a related field such as finance, business administration, etc. that include 24 semester hours in accounting, AND five (5) years of progressive work experience in U.S. GAAP financial accounting, OR an equivalent combination of financial accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge. A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) are highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency in applying U.S. GAAP in an automated, double-entry, accrual-based accounting environment; and in designing and implementing business processes and controls. Experience integrating data and information from diverse accounting and corporate information systems. Knowledge in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, general ledger accounting, variance analysis, account reconciliation, and full-cycle month-end close processes/procedures. Ability to research, analyze, resolve, and document complex financial issues. Extensive experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to prepare professional documents, briefs, and reporting. Experience with Power BI highly desirable. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, to senior leadership, subject matter experts, and non-financial stakeholders.
