Job Description
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years old and have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; (Valid documentation will be required upon hire.) Must have at least three year's experience that demonstrates working knowledge of the functions of supply automated data base systems, programs such as Oracle, and ability to identify and adjust information, research and correct errors and discrepancies. Must have at least three year's experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge for buying a variety of merchandise. Must be familiar with and able to determine basic demand patterns, e.g., constant, trend, seasonal, low volume etc. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Possess leadership traits necessary to lead and motivate subordinates including U.S.-and Japanese national employees. Must have the ability to read, understand and interpret various orders, regulations, memorandums, and directives relating to the work of supply warehouse management. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally. Ability to apply the mechanics of merchandise buying and common business practices as they relate to pricing, delivery, etc. Has the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and representatives of the various MCCS activities (at various levels) to resolve routine problems and provide sound advice and assistance on ordering and stock levels. Knowledge of traditional and adaptive forecasting techniques. This activity is a Drug-free workplace.
