One to two years experience in a related recreational activity (fitness/athletics). Must be certified as a personal fitness trainer from one of the following approved accrediting organizations: American College of Sports Medicine, Coopers Institute of Aerobic Research, American Council of Exercise, National Strength and Conditioning Association, and Aerobic and Fitness Association of America. Incumbents must possess current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Knowledge of exercise physiology, training, and safety principles are required.
