Job Description
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor¿s degree in general recreation, or a related field of recreation, such as community recreation, outdoor recreation, or aquatics AND three years of experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities related to effectively manage a program., OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above. Must hold a current active PADI Course Director Certification, and be in good standings. QUALIFCATION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of safety concepts, regulations, and procedures pertaining to SCUBA such as: training, dive safety, dive facility operations, and dive facility maintenance. Demonstrated experience in planning, developing, and conducting a profitable SCUBA retail and rental program., Must be able to implement procedures, sales techniques, discounting and promotional ideas to maximize profitability and effectively meet customer needs Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to prepare budgets and understanding profit and loss statements are highly desirable. Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries and State Criminal History Repository Check (Tier 1) with Childcare background checks which are required for positions that involve working with children under the age of 18.
