Job Description
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years old AND have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; OR Have completed a formal vocational training program; OR Have received a statement from school authorities agreeing with preference for employment rather than continuing education. (Valid documentation will be required upon hire.) Must be able to perform work outdoors under inclement weather, dirt and dust. Must be able to perform work requiring prolonged standing, walking, frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying objects up to 45 lbs. independently and over 45 lbs. with assistance. Must be able to accommodate flexible work schedule to include weekends, holidays, and night time. Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver¿s license. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Ability and skills to lead and supervise subordinate staff. Skills and experience in the operation and control of large and complex industrial power mowers (e.g., riding lawn mowers) and similar types of specialized mowing equipments, and various hand tools. Knowledge of agronomy, turf grass science, and the rules of golf. Working knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system, including automatic valves and controllers and various types of pumps and pumping systems. Knowledge in how to use pesticide in accordance with the manufacturer¿s label such as how much to apply, and ability to see the conditions of the ground and plants, etc. Knowledge and ability in operating Microsoft Programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel to perform data entry and create various forms and reports.
