Job Description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree in child or youth development, youth recreation, physical education, elementary education, secondary education, child development, psychology, social work, or other degree appropriate to the position from an accredited college AND 1 year of full time experience working with children and/or youth OR A combination of education and experience (e.g. courses equivalent to a major in a field (24 higher level semester hours) appropriate to the position (see above) plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above AND 3 years of full time experience working with children and/or youth. Must be able to obtain and maintain TIER-1 Child Care (CNACI) background checks which are required for positions that involve working with children under 18 years of age. Must pass a pre-employment physical and annual physical, thereafter, provide evidence of immunization and be free from communicable disease. Must complete DoD training requirements, annual ongoing training, and required certifications, if any. Must maintain CPR and First Aid certifications. Note: This position is identified as a Test Designation Position (TDP). The incumbent is subject to both pre-employment and random drug testing as a condition of employment. A positive drug test, or failure to submit for testing, may become the basis for removal from this position.
