The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the primary point of contact to the squadron commander/director for administrative support programs to include but not limited to task management, cybersecurity liaison (CL), Government Travel Card (GTC) program, Defense Travel System (DTS), Government Purchase Card (GPC) program, and unit recognition program.
Job Description
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NK-01, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include planning and organizing management programs and functions of an organization such as cybersecurity liaison (CL), Government Travel card (GTC), Defense Travel System (DTS), drug demand reduction, health care, fitness, Government Purchase cards (GPC), safety, Automated Data Processing Equipment (ADPE), security, supply, civilian timecard and unit recognition programs; assisting/supporting military and civilian personnel issues and manpower resource requirements; knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents; problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems; plan, organize work, and meet deadlines. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Skill in working with customers to assess needs, provide assistance, resolve problems, and satisfy expectations 2. Ability to persuade others to accept recommendations, work toward an agreement, and negotiate mutually acceptable solutions. 3. Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 4. Ability to organize work, set priorities, and determine resource requirements; determine goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinate with other organizations; monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes. 5. Ability to identify problems and use sound judgment and decisions to generate and evaluate alternatives and make recommendation 6. Ability to communicate effectively and provide training to small and large group of individuals, in person and virtually. Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
