Job Summary
The Supervisory Operations Research Analyst leads a branch responsible for managing injury and fatality data, overseeing public reporting processes, coordinating with technical partners, obtaining data from key external sources, reviewing data to identify potential risks, improving reporting systems, and tracking performance measures to support organizational goals.
Job Description
In addition to the mandatory education requirement, all applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: GS-14: 1) Leading complex data operations for managing risk to the public; 2) applying advanced operations research methods-including modeling, simulation, and optimization-to improve process and system efficiency and resource allocation; 3) overseeing modernization and integration of data systems and automated processes; 4) managing operational metrics, contracts, budgets, and resources; 5) coordinating with external partners to acquire high-quality data and support external compliance with government requests; 6) analyzing operational outreach and reportable event channels to enhance early warning and programmatic response.
