This position is located in Smithsonian Institution's Office of Smithsonian Facilities (SF), Office of Facilities Management and Reliability (OFMR). The Office of Facilities Management and Reliability provides the full range of building services through maintenance and operational zones.
Job Description
GS-11 Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 level in the Federal Service or comparable pay band system. For this position specialized experience is defined as experience performing work related to construction; interpreting plans and specifications during construction; conducting on-site inspections of workmanship; and monitoring construction schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time. GS-12 Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal Service or comparable pay band system. For this position specialized experience is defined as experience interpreting plans and specifications during construction; coordinating on-site inspections; leading a team of crafts/trades persons engaged in construction work; and monitoring construction contract costs to ensure projects remain within budget.
