Job Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This position serves as a Pneudraulic Svstem Mechanic within a fuel systems shop responsible for inspection, repair and maintenance of aircraft fuel cells, water injection, entidetonant (ADI), and inflight refueling systems. DEFINITION OF AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1 = Enlisted members of the Louisiana National Guard.
Job Description
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least the experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; knowledge of troubleshooting procedures used to isolate malfunctions in aircraft pneudraulic systems; and ability to use technical manuals, equipment specifications, and test calibration procedures in performing the work. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least Eighteen (18) months of experience or training which provided a knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles; in fabricating fuel, oil and vacuum hose lines; in servicing, maintaining, disassembling assembling, repairing and testing hydraulic and pneumatic systems; in diagnosing malfunctions and overhauling pneudraulic accessories by disassembling, cleaning part and examining parts; in diagnosing trouble and determining remedies; in repairing, rebuilding and overhauling major systems of ground equipment and pneumatic and hydraulic systems; in mechanical repairs using hand tools and test equipment; and that demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications and publications. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: 1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3.
