About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Altus Air Force Base Freedom Community Center. Love crafting, design, and hands-on tools? The Freedom Community Center is hiring a Recreation Assistant to support our active Arts & Crafts program. In this role, you'll operate computerized laser engravers, embroidery machines, heat presses, and framing equipment while helping service members and families complete one-of-a-kind creative projects.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience with fabric crafts, calligraphy and or lettering machines, engraving, glass crafts and mat cutting is desired, but not required. Must be able to read, write, spell and figure basic math and measurements. Must have a basic working knowledge in computer operations. Must have a clear speaking voice and be able to deal with the public. May work uncommon work schedule, including weekends. Requires continuous standing, walking, and stooping. Subject to metal and wood splinters, adhesives, paint fumes, cuts, burns, and bruises. Must be physically able to lift and carry items up to and including 50 pounds. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Completion of a National Agency Check for email and internet access is required.
