Job Summary

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Tinker Event Center. This is a Regular Part Time position with a minimum guaranteed 20 hours per week. Although the position is guaranteed 20 hours, incumbent may work up to 40 hours per week. Incumbent will be eligible for benefits including Health and Dental coverage, Life Insurance, 401k and NAF Retirement. Working Conditions: Works in hot and noisy kitchen. Exposed to steam, fumes and odors.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in and knowledge of methods and procedures relating to specialty coffee preparation or similar activity. Must have knowledge of a variety of drink recipes and knowledge of coffee beans and teas typically served at a specialty coffee operation. Must be able to know how to safely use the equipment such as an espresso machine. Must be able to memorize specialty coffee drink recipes. Must have the ability to hear and follow oral and/or written instructions, work safely, and so simple arithmetic. Must be able to physically frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, push, pull and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.
