Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have progressively responsible experience in outdoor recreation, sports management, or related field which demonstrates the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of this position. Must have knowledge of equipment, rules, and procedures used in outdoor activities, including equipment rental, maintenance, and repair. Experience gained in an outdoor equipment rental operation highly preferred. Must have supervisory and personnel management experience and experience in dealing with customers. Must have knowledge of financial and property management, including inventory and budgeting. Must have demonstrated computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Point of Sale system software. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including standing, walking, bending, lifting and carrying equipment and supplies over 50 pounds You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
