Job Description
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as AT LEAST THREE of the following: - Supervising or overseeing tax service programs involving the application of Internal Revenue Code requirements; OR - Independently developing policies relating to tax program areas; OR - Developing, recommending, and executing strategic plans, program initiatives, and operational priorities to achieve program goals and objectives, monitor program performance, and implement program improvements; OR - Planning and conducting internal reviews, program analyses, and risk assessments of revenue programs to assess compliance, strengthen internal controls, improve program effectiveness, and recommend corrective actions. For the GS-14 you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as AT LEAST TWO of the following: - Supervising staff and supporting tax service programs involving the application of Internal Revenue Code requirements; OR - Assisting with the development of policies relating to tax program areas; OR - Assisting with the development and implementation of strategic plans, program initiatives, and operational priorities to support program goals and objectives and improve program performance; OR - Conducting internal reviews, program analyses, and risk assessments of revenue programs to evaluate compliance, identify opportunities for improvement, and support effective internal controls. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks. For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a nontemporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
