Job Description

NOTE: To be considered "qualified" for this position, your specialized experience must be described in your resume. Please be sure your resume clearly states any and all of the specialized experience you may have. If your specialized experience is not clearly stated in your resume, you will not be considered for this position. To be eligible at the GS-13 level, you must meet one full year of specialized experience as defined below. Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level. Specialized Experience is defined as (1) applying analytical skills in researching assets and defining problems, gathering information and/or evidence, deciphering information and/or evidence and reporting results in assigned cases; (2) applying knowledge of intelligence, research, forecasting, and other analytical methodologies; (3) investigating and assists appropriate attorney or law enforcement official in the analysis and compilation of documents and information to include significant findings and conclusions, recommendations for additional investigative actions, and candid assessments of strengths and weaknesses of information, documents, and/or evidence, or other aspects of cases; and (4) planning and conducting complex financial investigations. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If your agency has notified you in writing that you are a displaced employee eligible for ICTAP consideration, you may receive selection priority if: 1) this vacancy is within your ICTAP eligibility; 2) you apply under the instructions in the announcement; and 3) you are found well-qualified for this vacancy. To be well-qualified, you must satisfy all qualification requirements for the vacant position and receive a score of 85 or better on established ranking criteria.
