Job Summary
This position is located in Office of Intelligence Operations, Operational Intelligence Division, Joint Support and Operations Center. The incumbent has specialized skill and knowledge of a specific Intelligence program area with functional responsibilities within his/her area of operational assignment, however maybe tasked to perform special studies or projects beyond immediate specific assignment, all related to intelligence, law enforcement and the accomplishment of the Bureau's mission.
Job Description
To qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized experience must include all of: Developing and analyzing intelligence reports to identify trends and potential violations of Federal law; AND Developing actionable intelligence products for senior leadership, and implementing protocols for information sharing among law enforcement partners to support threat mitigation and coordination of multi-agency intelligence initiatives; AND Researching, analyzing, and synthesizing raw data from law enforcement databases (e.g., NCIC, NLETS) and intelligence tools to identify criminal trends, threat patterns, and operational vulnerabilities; AND Assisting in criminal investigations by conducting witness interviews, gathering evidence, and coordinating with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to support prosecutions.
