Job Summary
This position is located at Office of Government Ethics, Ethics Transparency and Assistance Division. As an Attorney-Adviser (General), you will produce written work and carry out assignments based on research of statutes, regulations, Executive Orders, case law, and other writings that support the administration of the government-wide ethics program and an Executive Branch agency.
Job Description
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé. Applicants must meet all qualification requirements, including the following, by the closing date: 1. Be a graduate of a law school accredited by the American Bar Association at the time of graduation; AND 2. Be a current member of a bar with a valid license to practice law in a state or territory of the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. In addition, applicants must meet the following specialized experience requirement: Specialized experience for the GS-15: You must have a minimum of 4-1/2 years of experience practicing as a licensed attorney. The experience must include 3 years of experience related to to employment law or administrative law. Specialized experience for the GS-14: You must have a minimum of 3 years of experience practicing as a licensed attorney. The experience must include 2 years of experience related to employment law or administrative law. Specialized experience for the GS-13: You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience practicing as a licensed attorney. The experience must include 1 year of experience related to employment law or administrative law.
