Job Summary

As a Management and Program Analyst, you will analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency with which assigned DOE organizations and their components carry out their programs and functions and to develop information, advice, and recommendations for management to use in making decisions on the administrative and programmatic aspects of agency operations and management.

Job Description

GS-14: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following Analyzing financial management data and cost trends to alert leadership to any potential problems. Providing advice to senior leadership during the planning and budget development phase to identify any issues that may occur. Experience working with the Federal budget process and knowledge of budget policies, directives or regulations. GS-13: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following Assisting with analyzing financial management data and cost trends to alert leadership to any potential problems. Handling data accurately and with attention to detail, and ability to generate reports and work with spreadsheets. Providing guidance to managers on matters related to programming, budget policy, or procurement issues. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Limit your resume to no more than two (2) pages.
