Job Description
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Evaluating residential or commercial building inspection plans and documents, including working with diverse construction material i.e. (brick, lumber, reinforced concrete, steel); AND Inspecting, reviewing, and ensuring assets meet the proposed development specifications; AND Interpreting statutory and regulatory requirements related to building requirements; AND Preparing and reviewing property inspection reports for existing properties. Specialized Experience for the GS-12, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Evaluating residential or commercial building inspection plans and documents, including working with diverse construction material i.e. (brick, lumber, reinforced concrete, steel); AND Applying standards established to evaluate the physical condition of structures and making suggestions for improvement; AND Reviewing property inspection reports for existing properties. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
