Job Description

The application process used to recruit for this position is RESUME-ONLY. ECQ3- Merit and Competence: Involves demonstrating knowledge, ability, and technical competence to effectively and reliably produce work that is of exceptional quality. ECQ4- Leading People: Involves demonstrating the ability to lead and inspire a group toward meeting the organization's vision, mission, and goals, and to drive a high-performance, high accountability culture. This includes, when necessary, the ability to lead people through change and to hold individuals accountable. ECQ5- Achieving Results: Involves demonstrating the ability to achieve both individual and organizational results, and to align results to stated goals from superiors. For this position, the following Mandatory Technical Qualifications (MTQs) have been established and should be addressed within the resume application. MTQ1: Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and maintenance of firearms and explosive programs and service activities within federal, state or local government or the private sector. MTQ2: Demonstrated experience with providing law enforcement coordination on firearms and explosives programs and service activities with other Federal, State, local and international law enforcement agencies; domestic and foreign government representatives; and industry representatives. MTQ3: Demonstrated experience in the implementation and/or modification of policies pertaining to firearms and explosives and ensures maximum functional and operational support to the law enforcement mission and strategic operational plans, including developing and evaluating long-range plans, developing and coordinating operations and procedures related to firearms and explosives, while ensuring these programs are effectively administered and in accordance with broadly stated Bureau objectives and priorities. MTQ4: Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of a federal, state or local government or private sector law-enforcement organization's structure, missions, programs, policies and procedures, and organizational relationships in order to oversee the implementation of firearms and explosives programs.
