Job Summary

This position is located at Departmental Offices,Terrorism and Financial Intelligence - Intelligence Analysis. As an Intelligence Operations Specialist (Cyber Counterintelligence), you will function as a counterintelligence (CI) officer, providing CI cyber expertise to Office of Counterintelligence (OCI) assessments, operations, and investigations.

Job Description

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for the GS-13: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as ALL of the following: -Conducting research, evaluating collection, and performing analysis on cyber intelligence topics; AND -Applying cyber counterintelligence (CI) regulations, policies and programs; AND -Providing research and evaluation on cyber-derived intelligence information to determine the operational capabilities and effectiveness of foreign intelligence entities. Specialized experience for the GS-12: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as ALL of the following: -Conducting research, evaluating collection, and performing analysis on cyber intelligence topics; AND -Applying cyber counterintelligence (CI) regulations, policies and programs. Specialized experience for the GS-11: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes ALL of the following: -Conducting research and analysis on cyber intelligence topics; AND -Applying cyber counterintelligence (CI) regulations, policies or programs. OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, if related; OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, if related; or LL.M., if related; OR You may qualify by a combination of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 2 years may be combined with experience. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resumé. (*Note: If you are qualifying using education and you are within 9 months of graduating you may tentatively qualify. However, you must graduate and/or meet all qualification requirements prior to being appointed to the position.)
