Job Summary

As a Senior Advisor with OPM, you will serve as a principal advisor to senior leadership within Healthcare and Insurance, providing analysis, recommendations, and oversight for high-priority policy, legislative, and operational initiatives, including implementation of the Postal Service Reform Act.

Job Description

For the GS 15: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level in the Federal service that includes ALL of the following: Interpreting and applying regulations governing federal benefits programs (FEDVIP, FEGLI, FLTCIP, FSAFEDS) Analyzing the development of an operating plan outlining the audit resolution and compliance activities Providing advisory services to senior officials on policy, program, or operational issues. Leading or coordinating complex projects or initiatives that involve multiple stakeholders. Analyzing legislation, regulations, or policy proposals and developing recommendations. Preparing written products such as policy papers, reports, or briefings for top leadership. Applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-14 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-15 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
