Job Summary

As a Financial Operations and Systems Analyst at the GS-0501-13/14, you will be part of the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will serve as a senior financial advisor responsible for financial systems, reporting, internal controls, cost estimation, procurement financial support, and budget execution to ensure accurate, compliant, and effective financial management.

Job Description

For the GS-13 : You must have have at least one year (52 weeks, full-time) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (or comparable level of experience from outside the Federal service) performing ALL the following duties: Developing financial business requirements, accounting guidance, or standard operating procedures to support financial systems or internal controls; Analyzing financial data to reconcile discrepancies or resolve financial system errors for accurate financial reporting; Developing cost estimates, reviewing contractor cost proposals or providing financial analysis supporting acquisition activities; Monitoring budget execution to support funds management, resource utilization, or compliance with financial requirements. For the GS-14: You must have have at least one year (52 weeks, full-time) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service (or comparable level of experience from outside the Federal service) performing ALL the following duties: Conducting research and problem analysis in solving problems in the execution and development of financial and accounting operations, systems, and policies; Providing guidance to senior officials on financial management and accounting management operations, policies, and systems; Analyzing and reviewing financial and accounting data, operations and programs to ensure financial integrity and quality assurance; Developing recommendations and implementing improvements to financial or accounting management policies, procedures, and regulations. Developing cost estimates, reviewing contractor cost proposals or providing financial analysis supporting acquisition activities; You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
