Job Summary
This position is located with Operations Regulatory Compliance & Reporting (TOII) organization of the Internal Operations Management Office (TOI), Transmission System Operations (TO), Transmission Services (T), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). A successful candidate in the Supervisory Public Utilities Specialist position will be the supervisor of Operations Regulatory Compliance & Reporting responsible for planning, supervising, and leading programs, systems, and work processes.
Job Description
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-13] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience 1) developing, implementing, and/or evaluating business processes and policies to ensure power transmission, utility operations, or energy system activities comply with federal reliability standards, state policies, and energy-sector safety regulations; 2) planning, scheduling, and/or identifying resource needs (such as staff, project funding, or equipment) to deliver complex operational programs, demand management initiatives, or capacity capabilities; 3) researching and analyzing grid performance metrics, system data anomalies, or key technical bottlenecks to isolate root causes and formulate strategic corrective action plans. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
