Job Summary
This position is located in the Generating Assets (PGA) organization of Generation Asset Management (PG), Power Services (P), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). The purpose of this position is to serve as the Generating Assets Manager and a member of the PG management team with responsibility for planning, managing, and leading programs, systems, and work processes that are necessary to perform the critical mission and support activities required of the organization managed.
Job Description
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: 1) Directing overall generating asset programs or comparable programs and formulating long-range strategic plans, policies, and goals to support utility or power-generation business objectives; 2) Managing multi-million dollar budgets, resource allocations, and workforce planning, while supervising a diverse team of professional staff, subordinate supervisors, and contracted operations; and 3) Representing the agency or organization in negotiations with executive-level officials, regulatory bodies, and federal or state partners to secure resources, establish funding agreements, and resolve critical operational issues. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
