Job Summary

This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in Power and Operations Planning organization (PGP) of Generation Asset Management (PG), Power Services (P). A successful candidate in the Supervisory Power and Operations Planning Specialist position will serve as a direct supervisor four managers, a project manager for the Columbia River Treaty, an administrative assistant, and supplemental labor contractors.

Job Description

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-14] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Collaborating on cross-agency teams that utilize modeling and analysis to inform use of operational tools in Generation Planning operational groups; 2) Reporting on operational events and incorporating forecasting analysis into generation planning; 3) Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders while proactively representing the interests of the agency and customers 4) Representing the technical requirements of planning generation resources for development of resource adequacy or energy inventory assessments. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
