Job Summary

This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Facilities Division WCF / Environmental, Health and Safety Branch. As a General Engineer, you will be responsible for activities that ensure WCF is in compliance with all Federal, State of Texas, and local applicable environmental regulations and environmental permits.

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for the GS-13 is one year of experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent in other public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: Participating in assessments, inspections, and audits of facilities and operations to ensure compliance with environmental regulations in a manufacturing or industrial setting; AND Preparation of regulatory required reporting, regulatory required plans, permit applications and technical reports in a manufacturing or industrial setting; AND Participating in the planning and execution of engineering projects to improve environmental performance in a manufacturing or industrial setting. To be found well-qualified, and in addition to meeting specialized experience, the applicant must have documented the following experience: Having a solid and comprehensive understanding of the position. Can perform the required tasks efficiently and is proficient in applying the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the job.
