Job Description
Selective Placement Factor: Applicants must have the ability to converse and translate fluently from English to Spanish and Spanish to English. AND Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: developing news products and events in English and Spanish; creating messaging and talking points for staff and executives in preparation for media and public engagements and to develop related materials for public distribution; staffing subject matter experts for media and public engagements in Spanish; handling media inquiries and logistics for media interviews and public engagements; and working in a team to accomplish program goals and objectives. Education: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
