About the position: This position will be assigned to the Aviation Cadet Pool on Maxwell AFB, AL. This position is an Intermittent/Flexible position, there are no guaranteed hours. This position is a Term position, and the appointment will not last beyond 31 Oct 2026. Physical Effort: Must be able to lift and carry 45 pounds and occasionally over with assistance.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Possesses physical ability to swim and rescue swimmers of all ages, including adults, and to administer CPR to adults, children, and infants. Must possess an approved current and valid nationally recognized certification in lifeguard, basic first aid, and CPR which covers lifesaving and water rescue methods, skills and procedures for adult, child and infant. WSI certificate required. Working knowledge to satisfactorily and safely accomplish basic pool maintenance. Knowledge of swimming facility rules, work procedures, equipment, and materials to perform standing and recurring tasks. Ability to effectively communicate orally.
