Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have working knowledge of fund accounting methods, procedures and techniques used in maintaining and analyzing all classes of accounts in accounting system encompassing a number of diversified activities. Knowledge and understanding of the regulations, guides and precedents sufficient to interpret and apply them in a variety of accounting situations. Knowledge of the accounting system sufficient to flow individual funds and specific monies from initiation through expenditure stages in order to trace discrepancies in the system. Capable of utilizing Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Must be able to communicate orally and in writing.
