This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the JBSA Lackland Fitness Center. This is a Regular Full-Time position with guaranteed 35 hours per week. Employees appointed to a Regular category position are for benefits.
Job Description

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Applicants must demonstrate proficient specialized experience that has provided knowledge of the standardized body of rules, procedures, and operations associated with one or more indoor/outdoor recreation functions. This experience must clearly illustrate the ability to perform satisfactorily at the level of responsibility required for this position, including expertise in preparing budgets, managing financial and physical resources, and demonstrated within a fitness and sports program's framework. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): 1. Ability to operate a Point of Sales System and perform basic arithmetic in relation to cash handling. 2. Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and ability to instruct patrons in the use of this equipment. 3. Ability to accurately and clearly communicate fitness center rules and policies to customers. 4. Basic knowledge of computer operations. 5. Ability to amicably interact with staff and patrons and communicate both orally and in writing. 6. Ability lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds 7.
