Job Summary
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Child and Youth Centers on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. This Regular Part-Time position is guaranteed 20 hours per week, may work up to 34 hours per week. You are eligible to earn annual leave, sick leave and sign up for benefits to include Health/Dental and Life Insurance, 401(k) and NAF Retirement. A recruitment incentive of $1,500 may be authorized. Must be a minimum of 18 Years of age.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must speak, read and write English. Must have experience which demonstrates knowledge of and skill in operating buses capable of carrying 16 or more passengers; traffic and safety regulations, practices and procedures pertaining to motor vehicle operation (buses); and passenger safety rules. In addition, must have experience which demonstrates the ability to: communicate orally; be courteous; judge road/traffic conditions and read maps to determine the shortest and safest route; interpret instructions, specifications related to motor vehicle operation (buses); perform preventive maintenance requirements, diagnose minor maintenance needs, and ensure passenger safety. Must have experience which demonstrated the ability to operate, control and clean heavy powered equipment. Requires reaching, turning or moving hands, arms, feet and legs; associated duties require stooping, bending and climbing. Completion of CPR and First Aid training is desirable.
