About the position: This position is Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to JBER Lodging on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Regular Part-Time employees have a regular and continuous work schedule of at least 20 hours to a maximum of 34 hours per week. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have general working knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance to include basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical and related trades. Must have working knowledge for repair and maintenance of equipment, to include power mowers, snow blowers, vacuum cleaners and floor shampooers. Must have a valid driver's license. Must pass a pre-employment physical. Must be able to frequently handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check Inquiry (NACI). Must satisfactorily complete snowplow special licensing requirement. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug test.
