Must be able to provide documentation proving residence status overseas. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Knowledge of animal behavior, health, nutrition, and basic care for dogs, cats, and other small animals. Ability to recognize signs of illness, injury, or distress and respond appropriately. Experience safely handling, restraining, lifting, and transporting animals. Skilled in administering medications and following specialized care instructions. Strong customer service, communication, and recordkeeping skills. Ability to work independently, follow written and verbal instructions, and maintain attention to detail. Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds (and up to 90 pounds with assistance), handling feed and supplies, standing and walking for extended periods, and performing frequent bending, lifting, and cleaning. Comfortable working in environments with animal odors, noise, cleaning chemicals, and potential exposure to animal bites, scratches, or other hazards while following safety protocols.
