Flexible employees have no guaranteed hours but may work up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits. Required to lift and carry heavy items up to 75 pounds.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have one or more years of experience instructing one or more of the following activities: mountain biking, rock climbing, canyoneering, mountaineering, backcountry skiing or snowboarding, pack rafting, rafting, backpacking, kayak touring. The following certifications are highly desirable: Wilderness First Responder/Wilderness First Aid, AMGA Single Pitch Instructor or PCIA Single Pitch Instructor, as well as certifications in avalanche and swift water rescue. Additional training or certifications in skiing, snowboarding, paddle sports, or mountain biking instruction are also highly desired. Ability to communicate effectively. Must have knowledge of basic inventory and stock record procedures, management procedures, and general business principles. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
