Job Summary
About the position: This position is Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation at Langley Air Force Base, VA. This is a Temporary Flexible position, not to exceed 30 September 2026. There are no guaranteed hours, however the employee may be scheduled 0 to 40 hours per week. The primary purpose of this position is to observe swimming area to ensure safety of patrons.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Have prior experience as a lifeguard and have knowledge of pool safety and pool maintenance requirements. Must have prior training or experience which demonstrates leadership abilities. Must have approved and current nationally recognized certification in lifesaving and water rescue methods and skills, as well as basic first aid training, and CPR (both child and adult) training. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
