About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Bethel Park at Langley AFB, VA. This is a Temporary position, not to exceed 1 October 2026. This is a flexible position that is guaranteed 0 hours per week but can be scheduled up to 40 hours per week. The primary purpose of this position is to perform and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialist in the operation and maintenance of Bethel Park recreational areas.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable; however, no experience is required. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry medium to heavy objects up to 40 pounds, and be able to occasionally lift and carry objects up to 60 pounds. Must be able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions.
