About the position: This position is a Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) Regular Full Time (RFT) position. It will be assigned to the Fort Eustis Aquatics Center. Position is guaranteed 35 hours per week. This position may be subject to holidays, nights, weekends and on-call work.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have nationally recognized certification in lifesaving and water rescue methods and skills, as well as basic first aid training and CPR (pediatric and adult) certification. Must possess a current and valid nationally recognized WSI (Water Safety Instructor) certification. Must possess a current and valid nationally recognized LGI (Lifeguard Instructor) certification. Experience which provides a practical knowledge of instructional and developmental teaching methods, swimming activities, rules and procedures and skill in the use and maintenance of various pool and safety equipment is desirable. Satisfactory completion of installation records checks, and state and national criminal background checks may be required for positions that provide lessons or instruction to children. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
